Creating a pool of racing talent for teams to choose from
The UIM E1 Pilot Academy will help equip contenders for a race seat with the skills required to succeed as a pilot, with the process culminating in August and September across Saudi Arabia, Italy and the UK.
The pilot academy will help identify and recruit athletes from diverse backgrounds across multiple sporting disciplines. Male and female athletes with experience in motorsport, cycling, Esports, extreme sports and high-speed sports are urged to apply to enter the first phase of pilot training. 35 candidates will receive initial training before the end of September 2023 in the search for 20 RaceBird-ready pilots to be selected by October 2023.
About the Academy
The Academy is managed by Nina Dreier, who has previously worked with esteemed companies like Red Bull, Formula E, and Extreme E, providing invaluable experience in the sports marketing and entertainment industry.
Along with expert tuition from other notable figures in the marine industry, candidates will undergo an advanced training course designed to test their racecraft skills at close quarters, in different vessels, and in varying water conditions.
